Preparing service and research professionals in teaching, school administration and counseling is our aim. During the summer, classes are filled with teachers returning to school to hone their skills and glean ideas and inspiration to take back to their classrooms. They learn new teaching methods and have the opportunity to participate in professional dialogue and research.
Students study to become effective counselors in our master's programs in counseling and school counseling via evening classes. They learn to help people find ways to cope with life's challenges. These clinical programs emphasize training students to be effective professionals in a variety of settings. The school of counseling program leads to state licensure. Classes are always taught from a Christian perspective.
The School of Education and Psychology offers a Master of Science degree with two emphases in Counseling and a Master of Science in Education degree with five areas of emphasis. The emphases in Counseling are:
